The Wake Forest University Department of Counseling invites all counseling community members, alumni, current students, and faculty to the 2018 Spring Seminar on Friday, April 6th from 9am to 4pm.
Hosted on our beautiful campus, you may attend for a half- or full-day and earn up to 6 CEUs! Participants can attend and earn CEUs in person or virtually via livestream. If you’re unable to participate the day of the seminar, don’t worry! You may also register for the recorded Seminar and receive access to the sessions after the Seminar concludes, so you can view it at your convenience and receive your CEUs after completing a brief assessment.
In the morning session, Dr. Jose Villalba, Interim Chief Diversity Officer in the Office of Diversity and Inclusion at Wake Forest University, will present on “Counseling and Supervision in an Ever-Polarized Society”. In the afternoon session, Dr. Nathaniel Ivers, Co-Chair of the Wake Forest University Department of Counseling, will present on “The Praxis of Cultural Competence: Creative Approaches to Enhancing Cultural Knowledge, Awareness, and Skills”. Full day registration is $100, and half-day registration is $60.
If you would like to attend, please download, complete, and return the 2018 Spring Seminar Registration Form with payment. We look forward to welcoming you onto campus and spending the day with you!
