The Wake Forest University Department of Counseling hosted counseling community members, alumni, current students, and faculty for the 2018 Spring Seminar on Friday, April 6th from 9am to 4pm. Attendees were able to come for a half- or full-day and earn up to 6 CEUs! If you missed the event, don’t worry–you can still view our recordings as counseling webinars and earn CEUs by paying a registration fee and completing a brief assessment. Please contact Mary Katherine Newsome for additional information.
In the morning session, Dr. Jose Villalba, Interim Chief Diversity Officer in the Office of Diversity and Inclusion at Wake Forest University, will presented on “Counseling and Supervision in an Ever-Polarized Society”. In the afternoon session, Dr. Nathaniel Ivers, Co-Chair of the Wake Forest University Department of Counseling, will presented on “The Praxis of Cultural Competence: Creative Approaches to Enhancing Cultural Knowledge, Awareness, and Skills”. Registration for both sessions is $100, and registration for one session is $60.
